We are honored to offer four unique lectureships on topics in agronomy. Through the initial endowment and continual support of family and friends of the Department, these programs enhance the training at Kansas State University and provide opportunities for students and faculty to make connections with outstanding scholars and leaders in each field.
Lectureship in Soil Science
Roscoe Ellis, Jr.
The Roscoe Ellis, Jr. Lectureship was established to advance soil science at Kansas State University by attracting prominent scholars to interact with students and faculty.
Lectureship to Enhance Range and Forage Management
Kling L. Anderson
The Lectureship was established to enhance training in Range and Forage Management at Kansas State University by providing the opportunity for students and faculty to benefit from interaction with outstanding scholars.
Lectureship to Enhance Crop Science Training
Elmer G. Heyne
This program was established to enhance the training offered at Kansas State University in Crop Science by providing opportunities for students and faculty to benefit form personal contact with outstanding scholars by means of lectures or seminars to be conducted at Kansas State University.
International Agronomy Lecture
Chuck & Sue Rice
The Chuck and Sue Rice International Agronomy Lecture was established for attracting prominent scholars to interact with students and faculty on international aspects of agronomy, agriculture and the environment.
